Alan Pardew sacked......Why?

Southampton have sacked Alan Pardew. Why? I really don't understand this one at all. Okay they had a bad start losing at home to Plymouth but for fuck sake they won 4 0 away on Saturday and they won't get a better manager at this level than Pardew. Don't forget this is the man who took them to Wembley and won the Johnstone's Paint trophy just last season and he also did well in the league considering they started on minus 10 points. Has the world gone mad? Not only that,my pre season bet on the Saints is now right out the window. The person responsible for this decision is a complete and utter fucking moron.

  1. well, here in Bologna we actually do it better:Franco Colomba(the guy who saved us last season and an ex Bologna player in the '70s)was sacked yesterday,a day before our first match of the new season...and vs Internazionale Milano,wow,genius...

  4. Most successful Saints manager in their history (in terms of win ratio) but allegedly couldn't work with his boss, the owner Cortese or other backroom staff which I suppose is a fair reason to dismiss him. Not the first time Pardew has been mysteriously sacked for no apparent reason. Funny old game....

  5. You said it Roberto!

Mullers,I think all the backroom staff were sacked as well. It sounds like the owner is the problem, not Pardew (although I could be wrong!)

  6. Some of the backroom staff are still there including the guy who is caretake manager.

    Rumour has it.....

Mate who's a Villa fan said that Pardew wanted permission to speak to Villa. So Cortese sacked him!

Can't see it myself and unsubstantiated of course.

  7. Well if he wanted the Villa job he was getting above himself (as well as not being right in the head!)

  8. I wasn't really a fan of his when he came to West Ham but he won me over and I was gutted when they sacked him, anyone who has a go at Wenger is alright in my book :)
I guessed he was a hard guy to get along with as when he was being interviewed he sounded like a "watered down" Mourinho which probably rubs a few chairman up the wrong way.
Can't believe Southampton got rid of him after last year's performance? just makes you hope that they fail this year.

  9. I was in a packed social club near Tottenham's ground keeping a very low profile when Pardew had his spat with Wenger (we were playing Spurs in the 4pm kick off) The whole place erupted and they all sang "sit down you .....well you know the one" Funny it was at the time. We lost 2 1 tho :(

Yes its a daft one in my book and it will come back to haunt the Saints later in the season when and if they are still in the same division.
